MACPO strives to promote and attract quality students to consider corrections as a career. As professionals in the corrections field, we strongly believe in the education of students.

MACPO offers a $750 scholarship to be used toward a Corrections related degree and/or internship. MACPO, by awarding this scholarship, will do so in the spirit of honoring deceased MACPO members who have made a significant contribution to not only MACPO but also corrections as a whole.

One $750 scholarship to a student majoring in Corrections, Criminal Justice, Sociology, Psychology, Social Work, or other related fields who is, will, or has been involved in an internship. This scholarship will be applied to the costs of tuition.

The Application period is currently CLOSED and will reopen in the summer of 2024.

Eligibility

Students currently enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited 2-year or 4-year college OR a graduate program.
Students majoring in Criminal Justice (or other field as specified in middle column) in an undergraduate program OR Students attending a graduate-level program pursuing a Master's Degree (or higher) in Criminal Justice (or other field as specified in middle column).
Students currently preparing for, or already participating in, an internship in the corrections field.
