The LS/CMI is the new and improved risk assessment tool for adult offenders. This training is for those who have already completed the conversion to the LS/CMI from the LSI-R, and are in need of the yearly booster refresher training. You will refresh your skills and practice scoring on the new tool. At your conversion training you should have received an LS/CMI User Guide. Remember to bring this along to the training, as new books will not be provided. This booster session will also measure scoring proficiency.

Please contact Rachel Miller at rachel.miller@co.isanti.mn.us or 763-689-8326 with questions.

LS/CMI Booster

The state of Minnesota is conducting a statewide scoring of proficiency of all agents from all three delivery systems currently using the LS/CMI.  The purpose is to establish a baseline for scoring proficiency, to decipher which items in the LS/CMI are prone to scoring errors, and where future training is needed.

The results, in later 2013, will be available for each county or district, but published results will only contain regional and statewide trends.  At no time will any county or district’s data be shared with others for comparison.  While some of you may have limited experience in scoring an LS/CMI, the purpose is not to measure your work performance, but to enhance your learning of the LS/CMI and increase statewide scoring accuracy for determining level of risk and need for offenders under supervision.

So all participants are prepared, please attend the booster training with your LS/CMI scoring guide.  Everyone will be allotted the same amount of time to complete the scoring exercise so, please review your scoring guide before the training.
